Sunny Side Up

Snowfall after snowfall, I am almost scared to say anything about our dearly missed Spring in case I may jinx it but at this point I am so ready to shout it from the rooftops: I Want Spring!! Hopefully the last of the winter storms are behind us and soon we can feel the warm rays of sunshine beaming down on us. And we all know the first thing we reach for when Mr. Sun comes out to play - our pretty little sunnies! Whether you need a pair of prescription or non, Warby Parker has the style for you. They recently revealed their Spectrum Sun collection and I can't decide which one is my fave!

I love the semi cat eye shape of the Piper frames as I think it compliments my face without being overbearing. Tortoise shell has become a huge trend this year whether its jewelry, shoes, or handbags and it would be a perfect accessory for your eyes too! But for those who like to play it more safe with their glasses, the Piper is also offered in good ole black which never goes out of style.

If you are scared about adding color to your face and want to find a way to incorporate the style into your look without looking like a frat boy on Spring break, try the Hall in Cherry Blossom. The shade of pink is perfect in coloring - not too bright, not too light - and would compliment a freshly sun kissed tan (or a trip to see the Cherry Blossoms in DC!) I've never owned a pair of colored sunnies before but I think I definitely need to invest in a pair for this summer.

I normally find it hard to find frames that fit my face and I am sure there are tons of people who feel the same way. Warby Parker has proactively found solutions for us to ease our nerves with free in home try-on and virtual try-on programs (unfortunately not available for the Spectrum Sun collection) and exact measurements of the frames when you hover over the pictures if you want a really exact fit.

Check out the rest of the Spectrum Sun collection as well as Warby Parker's Spring 2014 line up. If you are in the NYC area, try to stop by their new Lexington Avenue location - it looks like a library, but for glasses!

Cross your fingers for tons of sun shine!
