Fall Wishlist

fall wishlist

JustFab Satchel / Banana Republic Red Blazer / The Limited Printed Skirt / Old Navy Windowpane Dress / Potter's Pot Top via Piperlime / Target Baseball Cap / Banana Republic Trench Coat / Express Lace Pants / Bernardo Military Jacket via Nordstrom / Kate Spade Boots via Nordstrom / Zara Heels / Nine West Boots via 6pm / Danielle Nicole Satchel via Cusp / Nasty Gal Quilted Leather Skirt / The Limited Metallic Belt / Target Drop-waist Skirt

Well, Fall has made it's debut with the 45-degree mornings we've been having all week! Since tomorrow is officially the first day of Autumn, I thought I'd share some items off my Fall wishlist for the cooler months ahead. (I also have a birthday coming up next month... hint, hint, nudge nudge). A few items I've already bought and the rest I have my eye on, waiting for a moment of weakness when I will make my move!

JustFab Prodigy Satchel - Have you tried JustFab* yet? They were offering a 50% discount for your first purchase and since most of their items are only $40 anyway I got a purse for $20! I originally stumbled upon the site looking for a Pashli look-a-like... the Petite Midtown Satchel is a dead ringer but looked wayyy too small (too bad I missed out on the full sized Midtown Satchel in Black when they had it in stock!). I really liked the Prodigy with it's top handle as well as a shoulder strap and since it's not crazily embellished it's a perfect work-to-weekend bag! I was worried about the quality but can happily report that the faux leather is super soft (something I always look for when buying anything faux) and has lots of space inside for all the crap I lug around! A few disappointments: I overlooked the fact that the shoulder strap is not detachable :( and the magnets are not the strongest so the flap is constantly coming loose; they also did not stuff the bag with enough paper/tissue so it came to me kind of flat. All-in-all I am very happy with this purchase though!

Banana Republic Red Crepe Blazer - My wardrobe is full of black and white - especially when it comes to my work clothes. I've been looking for new ways to add pops of color and a red blazer is high on my wishlist. (BR is offering 40% off Women's Styles in-store and online using code BR48HOUR til 9/21)

The Limited Printed Skirt - I think The Limited has the best pencil skirts, ever. I have a number of their skirts from over the years and the quality holds up well, has great shades of color, and fits perfectly. I love the lace pattern on this skirt, it's one of my favorite textures. (Plus skirts/pants/jackets are Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off during their Semi-Annual Sale! No code needed)

Old Navy Long-Sleeve Windowpane Shirt Dress - Also high on my wishlist? Long-sleeved dresses! 90% of the time I reach for a dress/skirt anyway and what better way to stay warm during the Fall/Winter than with a dress that has built in sleeves?? I'd cinch the waist with this belt from The Limited - the metallic detailing can dress it up but adding a pair of tights, wedge booties, and a leather moto jacket would keep it casual.

Potter's Pot Vegan Leather Lace Top via Piperlime - Didn't I say I love lace? The details down the front center seam is gorgeous and it's in my only favorite color palette. The sheer back is sexy in a subtle way and can be worn with a tank top underneath for more conservative events.

Xhilaration Faux Leather Baseball Cap via Target - I already bought this hat and I looove it (last worn here). Like I said about the faux leather on my JustFab satchel, it's soft to the touch and is a more chic way to do a sporty look (cause we all know I am the farthest thing from sporty!). It's on sale for only $10.39 online so grab it while you can!

Banana Republic Flared Trench - A trench coat is a classic Fall staple but when it comes in a more modern silhouette with a flared skirt, it's even more appealing! It was love at first sight with this trench, not only does it fit well (a little roomy, but that's ideal when layering), but it has an uhh-mazing red lining that I wish extended into the arms as well! I've worn it a couple times this week since it's been super chilly in the mornings (did you see this?) and my only complaint so far is that it wrinkles very easily. But that's why you buy a steamer! :) (BR is offering 40% off Women's Styles in-store and online using code BR48HOUR til 9/21)

Express Lace Pant - Lace pants? Yes please! This would make a perfect base for a monochromatic look with my faux leather peplum top from Forever 21 (last worn here) and a pair of killer heels for date night. (Get $15 off $30+, $30 off $75, or $60 off $150 using code 1854 in-store or online!)

Bernardo Anorak Jacket via Nordstrom - Apparently I am on an outerwear kick lately! When it's so cold and you are bundled up to your neck, the only thing really showing off your style is probably your jacket so you gotta keep it interesting - try an edgy piece like this military jacket with faux leather sleeves! I snagged this during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and although paying $70 at the time was steep for me, I'm happy I at least got it on sale!

Kate Spade Montreal Boots via Nordstrom - Ever since I saw this picture on Pinterest I have had cognac boots running through my mind! Too bad I can't find the original source of the pic because I would snap up those boots in an instant. And if you are following me on Pinterest, you'll see that I've been pinning up a cognac-boot-storm. I definitely want this shade of cognac (not too dark), an almond toe, knee high or slightly over-the-knee, with a thicker heel. I'll take a flat if I have to but I'd love to be able to add a little height so it can also be easily dressed up. These Kate Spades are perfect but a little out of my price range.

Zara Pointed Ankle Bootie - Umm... how hot are these? I saw them on Shanna earlier and they are so fierce and a perfect compliment to a Fall outfit. Being the work dress-code rebel I am, I would definitely try to pull them off at work (sorry HR! hehe). I do wish they were real leather especially for that price... so maybe I'll wait til it goes on sale!

Nine West Haventuherd Boots - Haven't you heard? You can always find something more affordable! :-P Love these boots as an alternative to the Kate Spades but not sure how the color would look in person. At least it's real leather for only $80! Will let you know if I order them how they turn out!

Danielle Nicole Adeline Satchel via Cusp - Since everything in my closet is basically black and white, I'd love to add a hunter green purse to give me a bit of Fall color inspiration! I love the structured silhouette of this Danielle Nicole bag and the price is right at under $100. I think I need this one!

Nasty Gal Naomi Quilted Skirt - How adorable is this faux leather skirt? I know, I know, faux leather, lace, and outwear is basically encompassing everything here but these are all so perfect for Fall! I actually bought this H&M skirt but am kind of wishing I had the Nasty Gal one instead... or maybe both?! ;)

Merona Ponte Dress via Target - Another dress with long sleeves! I did order this dress and just received it a day or two ago... but I was kind of unhappy with the quality and the fit. The drop waist is a little too low, and it was a lot thinner than I was expecting the ponte material to be. I loved the idea of this dress but will have to keep my search open for another red dress with long sleeves (it'll go great with my trench!).

Do you have any wish list items for Fall?
