Summer Casual

Dress: Lush via Nordstrom Rack (similar) Belt: H&M Sandals: Target (SALE $12, splurge option) Sunnies: Target Purse: Franco Sarto via TJ Maxx Watch: Michael Kors Bracelets: Uzbek evil eye bracelet, Nordstrom Rack

Last week we had unusually cool weather in the DC area and Friday night was my first time putting on a pair of jeans all summer. Not joking. During the summer is when I get the most use out of the gazillion dresses I have in my closet and this easy breezy little number has quickly become my go-to. I found it in the clearance section at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago for $15 bucks! It's by Lush and I recently picked up a maxi dress by them as well. The clothing reminds me of Forever21 - super cute and trendy but better quality and fit for roughly the same price!

These pictures were actually taken in Toronto the second time I was there last month. I saw on Mimi Ikon's instagram that there was a beach in TO and I practically begged my BF to take me there - I hadn't gone to the beach all summer long! And although I could clearly see that Mimi and her friends were in bikinis having a good ole beach time... my BF made me believe that people don't go there in bathing suits... they just go to walk around and sit on the beach, not go in the water. Well, he was WRONG! Since I showed up sans bathing suit, I settled for walking around the marina and the beach and taking as many pictures as possible (I love this one he took of me).

Has anyone else not gotten to the beach yet? Only a few more weeks of summer, we gotta take advantage!

Definitely winter in the Southern Hemisphere! Though I've headed up north to the desert this week and their winter is more like summer time!

  24. Thank you so much for reading my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I love your TO pics!

The dress looks like a fabulous find!

I have been to the beach a few times this summer. It was most fun after a race I did, and we were all muddy, so we stopped at the beach and literally went swimming in our underwear. Classy all the way ;)
