Repeat Offender

Jean Jacket: Nordstrom Rack Peplum Top: W118 by Walter Baker via TJ Maxx (splurge, save) Ikat Skirt: Francesca's Collections (love this one) Sandals: Kelly & Katie via DSW (old, identical & only $15!) Wristlist: Target Leopard Belt: Express Watch: Michael Kors Bracelets: Nordstrom Rack, Express, Uzbekistan

Every time I want a quick and easy summer outfit my mind instantly thinks of this particular outfit - a bright blue peplum, a printed skirt with a pop-of-color zipper, and a printed belt to top it off. I first threw this on in Austin and may have repeated the hell out of it already this summer. I first styled this skirt for the chilly winter but think it's even better in the warmer days. Blue and orange are complimentary colors and I love the blue zipper in the back. For a novice pattern mixer like me, this was like dipping my toes in the water - ensuring that the two prints do not touch is a subtle yet effective way to try this trend... plus it's less scary and less likely for the two prints to clash!

I wore this look out to meet a friend in Toronto while the BF had a meeting to go to. I got caught in some rain so luckily I was in my trusty flats and not ruining my Zara heels! Plus I wasn't killing my feet walking all around downtown and allll the way to the parking garage my BF parked at :)
