Crystal Life

Last Friday night I went to Crystal Couture, a fashion show and trunk sale. Perfect alternative for a girl who can't get to New York Fashion Week. They converted an empty floor of an office building into a 360 degree runway with vendors set up at all angles. Best part, you can buy what you just saw on the catwalk!

Sarah (middle) from the Kane Show co-hosted the event! Loved her outfit (check out her shoes in the 3rd & 5th pix!) and my beautiful best friend Tina on the right

ZweetSport - chic active wear made in the US - this was my favorite model of the night!

Owners of ZweetSport - Kimberly & Marja

And cue this from pinterest. Love when a man looks so well put together

Christopher Schafer and Christopher Rondo (both on the right) of Christopher Schafer Clothier - custom made suits for men. (Her shoes are fab aren't they?!)

Beautiful pink dress & coat from Jody Davis Designs - lots of couture and evening pieces

Did a quick hand modeling session with some beautiful bangles for Island Bridal (check out the final picture here)

And there were so many other stores and designers that were featured! For more pictures check out Crystal City BID's facebook page.

Dress: Bebe via Marshall's (similar) Shoes: Nine West via Ross (super duper old, closed toe option) Watch: Michael Kors (love this one for only $43!) Bracelet: JewelMint (sold out, similar)

For the show I wanted to embrace a winter white palette with a crazy-old pair of burgundy (oxblood) pumps. And please excuse the big hair-Mola-ness... I only had 15 minutes that morning to get ready so I only spent half that time on my hair... actually turned out pretty decent in the end!

I had a lot of fun at this event, met some great people (such as Paul Hance), thrifted (for the first time ever, btw) an amazing leather jacket from Zoubeck, and met my first (semi) celebrity! It's usually a 5 day event but I was only able to attend one of the nights - will definitely try to get to more of them next year!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that you get to snuggle up with your loved one and spend quality time together. Remember boys, Chocolate is good but shoes are carb-free!

90 shoes & counting!!

  1. So bummed I couldn't make it to this event, but it looks like it was a blast! I love your dress :)

  2. It was my first year attending and I loved it! Will have to make this a yearly thing, we should get some CapFABBers to go together next year! Thanks for visiting, love your blog btw :)

  3. I like your dress. So retro! ;-)

  4. Your outfit is so pretty and vintage! I especially love the heels with the fun buttons!

  5. Thanks Andrea! People keep saying vintage/retro dress... I wouldn't have even thought of that :P

  6. Thanks for the comment Emily & thanks for visiting! Hope you'll come back again soon :)
