South Moon Under Grand Opening

Last night I attended the grand opening of South Moon Under's new location in the Mosaic District in Merrifield, VA. First of all, let me say how much that area has changed! I remember in middle school my friends and I used to visit the movie theater in that area occasionally and it really was not the fanciest place. Now, it has gone through a complete transformation! They built a huge Target and there are cute little shops and restaurants. A little bit of 5th Avenue in Fairfax County, who would have thought?

Moving on to the main event of the night, South Moon Under! This is their 7th store in the DMV area and I am excited! Their selection of clothing and shoes are to die for and although it can be a bit out of my personal budget, a girl can keep dreaming... and add the whole store's inventory to her wish list! :)

My favorite section of the store ;) I was definitely drooling over a few pairs there... if only, if only!

How adorable are these TOMS little kid shoes?? I will be honest, I am not a huge fan of TOMS but I would definitely dress my imaginary child in either those pink sparkly ones or the leopard print high tops!

Trying on hats and sipping champagne... what a wonderful night!

I wasn't able to get a good close up of my shoes at the event, but here they are! Do you all like this way of showcasing the shoes better? I can do close ups during my outfit posts but also try to focus solely on the shoes as well, let me know what you would like to see! These shoes are a couple years old but have treated me well, I love the detailing and the suede-y leather is soft to the touch. The lacey-ness you see inside of the heel are my heel grips; do you ever feel like your foot is slipping out of the back of your pumps? Then purchase these, now! It really adds that little extra padding that will hold your foot without making the shoe too tight.

I hope you are enjoying my blog, please let me know if you have any comments, suggestions, or any other feedback! Next outfit post will be day 2 in Toronto!

96 boxes of shoes (left) on the wall!
